Technology: Your Friend and Mine

McDermott: You think I'm not aware of our situation? You think I want to stay isolated down here? You know, I'd make a desperate effort to raise somebody in hopes of getting away from your nasty mouth Steele! But the fact is... the fact is, either we are the only ones left, or there's no one within range my puny Second World War radio signals.

Johnson: We used to talk to Washington all the time. They could hear us then.

McDermott: We were on relays then. We weren't over the air. The power is off on the mainland now in case you haven't heard, and all the shopping malls are closed!

Right.

I s'pose I should attempt to explain what the hell happened to the site.

For the last month.

Well, your humble Zombiteers are in the process of updating the site; and other Bizniz-type nonsense. Switch a coupl'a things around, and we'll be better than ever!

Of course it's never that easy.

I won't bore you with the details -- mostly because I don't understand most of them.

But we're back up. That's what's important.

Keep watching this space!

Bucketworks

The ink is dry on the contract, and new opportunity abounds. Angry Young Men Ltd is now a Core Member of Bucketworks. Some of you out there in the 'Tubes are thinking: "What the hell is a Bucketworks?"

Bucketworks is:

  • A Fitness Club for the Brain.
  • A Big Shop Space and Studio.
  • A Business Incubator, & an Arts Collective.
  • A group of really smart, cool and fun people that have been good friends to the Show, and good friends personally.

What this means is that we have all the space we need to grow. That's shop space, studio space, contacts & networking, and valuable business advice.

Find out more about Bucketworks at http://www.bucketworks.com/

Or their Facebook page (if you're into that sort of thing): http://www.facebook.com/Bucketworks

It's the beginning of the next great adventure...

They Like Us!

They Really, Really, LIKE Us!!!

http://fasterpussycats.blogspot.com/2010/05/night-of-living-dead-puppet-show-on-dvd.html

There are many things I love about living in Milwaukee, but one of the things I love the most is that I live in a city where something as fantastic as the Night of the Living Dead Puppet Show began. (Screw you, stupid Fonzie statue!) And believe me, one day I expect to read those words in Entertainment Weekly. Not 'Screw you, stupid Fonzie statue' (although that would be freakin' KILLER) but the part about the NOTLD Puppet Show having its origins in Milwaukee.

Seriously, people, it's that good - and it's that FUNNY. But while you're waiting for NOTLD : The Puppet Show to invade the rest of the country - and I predict they'll do just that - you can support the movement by purchasing the DVD from their website. (Plus you'll laugh your ass off, so what do you have to lose, people??)

Okay, I s'pose we gotta get the shopping part of the website up & running, now.

Cuz we got t-shirts and posters and buttons for sale, too.

(And if'n you already sent us an email, please be patient. We haven't forgot about you...)

Melissa-and-director

I thought I'd just leave this here; it's a pretty swell review.

(Good-lookin' reviewer, too...)

Angry Young Men, Ltd. presents NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD: THE PUPPET SHOW… that’s right. The young and talented crew of delightfully demented theatre folk put on quite the entertaining and hilarious comical homage to the 1968 classic NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD, updated just enough to be socio-politically current. The creators clearly have a respectful admiration for the original film from George Romero, as well for the underlying metaphors that were present just beneath the surface of the flesh-eating zombies. Angry Young Men, Ltd. take their comedy/horror show on the road, so check their website for upcoming dates playing near you… it’s a frightfully good time!
